    Sara Stickler

    As President & CEO, Sara works to set and execute WTS International’s organizational strategic priorities, working closely with the WTS International Board of Directors to continuously assess and develop the WTS brand and the association’s programs. Sara implements growth and retention strategies, and she fosters meaningful relationships with WTS chapters, members, key industry stakeholders and other professionals to elevate the organization.  Sara also works with the WTS Foundation and its Board of Directors to realize its mission of supporting the next generation of transportation professionals and advancing the principles of WTS.

    Prior to joining WTS, Sara was the Executive Director of the Alliance for Consumer Education (ACE), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit foundation of the Household and Commercial Products Association (HCPA), where she advanced consumer knowledge on the correct use, storage and disposal of household and commercial products.  Her work included developing transportation safety campaigns around drugged driving. Stickler led the foundation through an organizational rebrand to position the foundation for long-term growth. She oversaw fundraising and donor relationship building initiatives. Stickler also served as the Vice President of Research and Education at HCPA. As Vice President, Stickler oversaw over 25 active joint ventures and LLC’s through the Ignite Solutions program where she implemented a project management approach to the program; overseeing long-term and short-term industry research projects and initiatives.

    Previously, Stickler taught second grade at Indian Hill Exempted Village School District in Cincinnati, Ohio, where she also coached basketball and softball. She has extensive experience working in education and with educational programs through schools, nonprofits, and outside organizations.

    Stickler serves as a Director on the Board of the Association Foundation Group (AFG) where she co-chairs the Programs Committee.  She previously served on the National Organizations for Youth Safety (NOYS) Board and chaired their Communications Committee.  She is also a member of Chief, a private membership network focused on connecting and supporting women executive leaders. 

    Sara earned her Master of Public Policy degree from University of Maryland where she specialized in Nonprofit Policy. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education with a minor in Psychology from Xavier University in Ohio.

    Sara lives in Annapolis, Maryland with her wife, twins- Ruth & Rhys, and small zoo of dogs and cats. During her free time, she enjoys hiking, kayaking, home DIY projects, and reading non-fiction.

    Lauren Waldron

    Lauren H. Waldron is the Director of Communications & Programs for WTS International, where she will work to advance the mission, vision, and membership in representing women and transportation as part of the Leadership Team at WTS International. Ms. Waldron is responsible for leading and developing effective communications and programming strategies for the organization within membership, continuing education, professional and career development, events, advocacy, and fundraising. 

    Ms. Waldron brings extensive experience in marketing and communications as well as a background within associations, nonprofit organizations, local government, and professional services firms. Formerly, she served in leadership as the Communications and Community Engagement Manager of the City of Roanoke, the fifth largest municipality in the state of Virginia. Previously, Waldron also worked as the Director of Marketing at the Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS), representing around 7,000 members worldwide in architecture, engineering, and construction (A/E/C) industries as well as worked as the Marketing Specialist at the National Association of Social Workers (NASW), representing around 20,0000 members worldwide in the social work profession, including students. Waldron drove strategies to increase awareness around the dues and non-dues revenue as well as the Foundation annual giving campaigns and research initiatives.

    From 2017 to 2019, Waldron served as an appointed Commissioner by D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser on the D.C. Commission for National and Community Service (SERVE DC).

    Ms. Waldron graduated with a B.A., cum laude, in Communication and American Government from George Mason University, and has a certificate in Digital Media and Marketing from Duke University.

    Lauren lives in Arlington, VA with her West Highland Terrier (Westie), Henry, and enjoys playing guitar, songwriting, and reading.

    Engagement Specialist, Membership and Chapter Relations

    MeKayla Washington

    MeKayla serves as Engagement Specialist, Membership + Chapter Services for WTSI. MeKayla supports the work of the Membership + Chapter Relations department in providing high-level services to members and chapter leaders through systems, program, and operational support. MeKayla works to provide excellent customer service to members and chapter leaders, maintain accurate records through WTSI's AMS system, and maintain reports for the Chapter Circle of Excellence program.

    Previously, MeKayla served as coordinator with WTSI focused on operational and administrative support. MeKayla enjoys mastering new systems and improving processes.

    MeKayla is an avid bullet journalist and enjoys snuggling up with her two cats, West and Noah.

    Varsha Ravichandran

    Varsha serves as Engagement Specialist, Marketing + Digital Design for WTSI. Varsha is responsible for the development of creatives, and digital content for use on multimedia platforms and print to maintain a consistent brand presence for WTSI across all channels.

    Prior to joining WTS International, Varsha assisted in managing social media accounts for major retail operations while working to attain her Bachelor’s degree in Communications with a focus in Public Relations from the University of Maryland.

    Varsha has lived in Maryland her entire life but loves to travel, hike, and enjoys spending time with friends and family.

    Engagement Specialist, Meetings & Events

    Tiffany Fisher

    Tiffany serves as Engagement Specialist, Meetings & Events for WTSI. In this role, Tiffany works to plan and implement WTS International and WTS Foundation meetings and events, including supporting Chapter event activities.  Prior to becoming the Engagement Specialist, Meetings & Events, Tiffany served as Administrative Assistant at WTS International.

    Tiffany has a customer service background, assisting in multiple fields to develop her work ethic. Helping others not only in her career endeavors, but also in her personal life, doing volunteer work is a passion of Tiffany’s.

    Tiffany enjoys being creative and trying new things, like cooking exciting new recipes and experiencing different cultures.
